Kantamigo import bot

Kantamigo has not launched yet. Today this website offers information, the free tools and the launch notify list. Sections marked “From launch” describe the app and apply once it launches.

KantamigoImport is the fetcher behind Kantamigo’s import from a link. It visits a page only because a Kantamigo user pasted that link and asked to import it.

What it does

From launch
  • It retrieves one page, once, when a user asks for it. It never crawls, follows links or visits pages on its own.
  • It identifies itself with the User-Agent KantamigoImport/1.0 (+https://kantamigo.com/import-bot).
  • It does not cache pages. The page and the text taken from it are discarded as soon as the request is done; we keep only the domain, the status and the cost of the request.
  • It never bypasses paywalls, logins or other access restrictions, and it does not import content a site marks as official, premium or pro.

Robots.txt and AI opt-outs

From launch

Before fetching, it reads the site’s robots.txt and follows the rules for KantamigoImport and for all user agents. It also honours AI opt-out signals. When a page is disallowed, the import stops and the user is asked to paste the text instead.

Ask us to block your site

If you run a website and do not want Kantamigo users to import from it, write to legal@kantamigo.com with your domain. We add it to our blocklist; songs from it can then only be added by pasting the text by hand.
