How to tune your guitar
- Tap Start tuning and allow the microphone.
- Play one open string and let it ring. Auto names the nearest string; if it picks another one, tap the string you're tuning.
- Turn its peg until the marker sits in the middle and you see In tune.
- Do the same for every string, then check them all once more: tuning one string pulls a little on the others.
About standard tuning
Standard tuning, E A D G B E from the thickest string to the thinnest, is what most chord charts, lessons and songbooks expect. To check it by ear, the 5th fret of each string plays the next string's note, except on the G string, where it is the 4th fret.
